Yoga classes in prisons
The PPT supports prisons who wish to set up regular yoga classes, which are paid for out of prison budgets.
We offer free taster workshops for prisons who want to see if yoga could be incorporated into their regime or one of their programmes.
We train qualified yoga teachers for work in prisons and the issues they may face.
We run classes in over half the prisons in the UK and Ireland. We also work in immigration centres, secure hospitals and probation hostels.
In addition to our live classes, we also air radio yoga classes three times per week through the National Prison Radio network. These classes have a potential audience of 73,000 prisoners, providing them a regular led practice in their cell even if their prison does not have a class.
